In the simplicity of these words, Hermes Trismegistus sounded the eternal appeal which beats at the heart of every Seeker of Truth। In each one of us, there is a longing to know -- to find out who we really are, what our purpose in life is, who created us and why, and what makes the universe tick. This yearning is a real human need. Yet most men choose to pay it no heed. For this, they pay a price -- that gnawing sense that something is lacking, that life has little meaning, and we are incomplete.
To make man complete, to sate his longing for true wisdom -- this is the noble work to which the Order of the Hermetic Gold and Rose+Cross is committed।
At the repository of the Order are authentic records of ancient esoteric teachings to help the sincere seeker achieve his dearest goal. These teachings are of the Western Esoteric Tradition, consisting chiefly of Hermetica, the Kabbalah, Rosicrucianism, Martinism, Alchemy and Divine Magic (Theurgy). Guided by the light of the true teachings, and by the illumination of our Grand Master, we feel honored to participate in the great work of spreading Truth. We feel, further, that much of this work involves correcting prevalent misconceptions about esoteric teachings, which unfortunately have been spread by unqualified or misguided groups and individuals.
Discerning men and women -- irrespective of their religion, social standing and education -- are most welcome to affiliate with the Order. The only requirement is that they do so with an open mind, and with a sincere eagerness to develop and learn.
